Igor - the Irish Traditional song is "Love is Teasin'", and it is available on the Chieftain's album "The Long Black Veil", released on the RCA label (in the US, anyway) in 1995. Also on the album are Sinead O'Connor, Sting, Tom Jones and The Rolling Stones. |

Reply: That phrase appears in various versions of The Butcher Boy I wish I wish but I wish in vain I wish I was a maid again but a maid again I ne'er can be till apples grow on an ivy tree or Till cherries grow on an apple tree or Til an apple grows on an orange tree but I can't recall seeing that song anywhere by Marianne. This is a really great website. I was very impressed and enormously happy to have found it. I absolutely adore Marianne Faithfull! She is, to me, the greatest of all time Unfortunately, I'm living in Brazil at the moment, and it doesn't look to me as if she will be coming by for a concert any time soon. Does anyone, by any chance, know if there is the slightest possibility that she might come to "this part of the world"? Oh, and something that I am very curious about is her tattoo.
