Daja Artist was 8 years old and racing rather poorly in $2500 claimers at Saratoga when we bought him. We brought him to Maine, gave him some TLC and he rewarded us with three wins
in his first three starts. Artist wasn't a real fast horse but he had one good brush and if the pace was right and he was in a good position he could do well.
