Humdinger Pick was racing at Scarborough Downs in 1982 in $1000 and $1500 claimers and getting nothing but 1st or 2nd place finishes After two months of this we said o.k., thats enough and claimed him for $1500. He was 13 years old and had legs that showed it which was probably part of the reason he didn´t get claimed before. He was kind of classey for this part of the country with lifetime earnings of over $171,000.

Unfortunately we didn´t have Humdinger Pick in the stable very long. Soon after we bought him he had an attack of twisted intestine while being put in harness for a race at Cumberland Fair and had to be put down. A sad ending for this hard working 13 year old.
