LUCINDY

Lucindy was our first horse. She had a good record as a 4 year old, (36  8  8  5) and this ship in from Foxboro was beating up on our local $2,500 claimers at Scarborough Downs with three wins in a row so we claimed her for $3,000 on January 3, 1981. She became our pet and was never raced in claimers again.

Lucindy wasn´t very fast but she was steady and easy to work with so she turned out to be an excellent choice for our first horse. After she became too slow to beat anyone we retired her to the farm and she became a broodmare.

Her first breeding was to Mr Suffolk and her first foal was LAURA BUTLER. She looked just like her mother. Laura had a real problem in that every time she left the starting gate she would break stride. Time after time we tried to qualify her and time after time she would break stride. We never did solve the problem and sold her for a riding horse.

Lucindy´s second breeding was to My Bill Forward. From that breeding we got
MY LU BUTLER.

Lucindy´s third breeding was to Willow Skipper. From that breeding we got
WILLOW STAR.

Lucindy´s fourth breeding was to Trusty Dream. From that breeding we got KENNEBEC WINDY. We had a cash flow problem when this colt was a yearling so he was sold at auction.
