bay, mare, by Skipper Knox - Chinbro Minifly by Flying Bret
Chinbro Miniskip was purchased as a Maine Breeders Stakes eligible yearling at the Pine Tree Sales in Lewiston in October of 1983 for $1,050. An obvious reject as she was consigned
by a stable that was still active but we liked her size and we liked her breeding, a local combination that had potential.
Mini was competitive in the Breeders Stakes Program but had a terrible
habit of breaking stride on the first turn. If you could get her safely around that first turn you were usually one of the contenders. She was good enough to make both the 2 year old and the 3 year old
finals but sure enough, when the big money was there, she broke on the first turn.

Chinbro Miniskip developed a bleeding problem and since Lasix was not legal in Maine at the time, she was sold to the Amish for duty in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
