Hi Sunshine was a 4 year old when we bought her in May, 1999. She was racing well at Saratoga in $2,500 claimers. We raced her in various condition and claiming classes, wherever
she would fit and be competitive. Sunshine is a very tall horse with a nice long stride.
In August of 1999 she was claimed for $2,900. Three months later in November they put her back
in for the same claiming price so we claimed her back.
On July 23, 2000 with Wallace Watson driving Hi Sunshine popped a mile in 1:58 flat, establishing a new lifetime mark.

In May, 2001 Hi Sunshine got good enough to be entered in the mares open class which is the highest class they have for mares. To have a mare that is good enough to
race in this class is something we have been hoping to achieve for nineteen years now. On June 10, 2001 in her third appearance in the class she won the race. Our nineteen year dream has finally been
accomplished and we are very proud of her.
The moral of this story is; If you wait long enough, your dreams can come true!
